Delete your VRIK account
The short version. You can delete your account yourself in the app, in under a minute. If you can't open the app, email us and we will do it for you. Deleting is permanent.
Delete it in the app
- Open VRIK and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Tap Privacy & security.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Can't open the app? Ask us by email
Write to privacy@thevrik.com with the subject "Delete my VRIK account". Send it from the email address on your account if you added one, and tell us your VRIK username. We will reply to confirm it is really you before we delete anything, so please keep an eye on that reply. We aim to finish within 30 days.
What is deleted
- your profile: name, username, mobile number, email, date of birth, gender, city and photo;
- your goals, tasks, notes and progress;
- your posts, comments, likes and the people you follow or who follow you;
- your chat messages and your messages in goal groups;
- the events you host, and your replies to events;
- your notifications, reminder settings and sign-in sessions on every phone.
What may be kept, and for how long
We delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we must keep something to meet a legal duty or to deal with a safety, abuse or security matter, for example a report about abuse. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. Our Privacy Policy has the full detail.
After you delete
- You are signed out everywhere and cannot sign in again with that account.
- It cannot be undone. You can make a new account later with the same mobile number, but nothing from the old one comes back.
